North Carolina’s capital, Raleigh, played host to HCIM’s recent Leadership Team Meeting. In the midst of strategic discussions, the team took a meaningful detour to support the local community. Their destination was the Durham Rescue Mission, the oldest homeless shelter in the Durham, Raleigh, and Chapel Hill area.
Founded in 1974 with a steadfast mission to mend shattered lives and restore families, the Durham Rescue Mission has been a pillar of hope and support for countless individuals in need. During their visit, the HCIM leadership team engaged directly in serving dinners, a hands-on approach that not only provided immediate relief but also offered team members a profound insight into the tangible difference the mission makes in the community.
In addition to volunteering their time, the HCIM leadership contributed a charitable donation to support the mission’s comprehensive services, which include providing food and clothing as well as job placement assistance. These efforts are a part of HCIM’s commitment to making a positive impact on the communities where we operate and visit.
The doors of the Durham Rescue Mission are open 24/7, 365 days a year, providing a lifeline to those in crisis. To learn more about the Durham Rescue Mission and how you can contribute to their life-changing work, please visit their website at https://durhamrescuemission.org/.
