HCIM Cares: HCIM Leadership Embraces Community Service at the Durham Rescue Mission

North Carolina’s capital, Raleigh, played host to HCIM’s recent Leadership Team Meeting. In the midst of strategic discussions, the team took a meaningful detour to support the local community. Their destination was the Durham Rescue Mission, the oldest homeless shelter in the Durham, Raleigh, and Chapel Hill area.

Founded in 1974 with a steadfast mission to mend shattered lives and restore families, the Durham Rescue Mission has been a pillar of hope and support for countless individuals in need. During their visit, the HCIM leadership team engaged directly in serving dinners, a hands-on approach that not only provided immediate relief but also offered team members a profound insight into the tangible difference the mission makes in the community.

In addition to volunteering their time, the HCIM leadership contributed a charitable donation to support the mission’s comprehensive services, which include providing food and clothing as well as job placement assistance. These efforts are a part of HCIM’s commitment to making a positive impact on the communities where we operate and visit.

The doors of the Durham Rescue Mission are open 24/7, 365 days a year, providing a lifeline to those in crisis. To learn more about the Durham Rescue Mission and how you can contribute to their life-changing work, please visit their website at https://durhamrescuemission.org/
